Private vows and a cake-smash.
Alex & Justin were keen on spending their day interacting with their friends and family. The Ancaster Mill was the perfect backdrop for their day. Outside of taking a few minutes for a private vows, they spent the entire day laughing and enjoying their people. I love when my couples are focused on their guests. as a documentary-first photographer, I value those candid interactions, where my couples forget I am there.
We capped the night off with a cake-smash sparkler send-off. The Pearle weddings staff at the mill was incredible and put down a tarp to keep their patio clean... very grateful they did, as the cake was accidentally dropped. Double thankfully, the couple had the best sense of humour and loved watching the replay of the cake falling.
