<p>These two customized their day by booking their ceremony at the DTK Chapel followed by portraits and a dinner reception at the Cambridge Mill. Probably one of my most pro-moves I have seen from a couple wanting to keep things simple and seamless.</p>

<p>Anthony, who works for the Australian defense, looked tops in his military uniform for the ceremony, matched against Christina's gorgeous gown - it was a striking scene.</p>

<p>The ceremony itself was intimate and personalized, with close family gathered in the DTK Chapel at Kitchener City Hall. Vow readings added a special touch to the ceremony, making it all the more memorable. It was touching to see the couple's commitment to each other, officiated by non other than Jeff Maeck, the owner and proprietor of Togetherness Collective.</p>

<p>After the ceremony, there was a shift in the atmosphere as Anthony switched from his military uniform into formal attire. The transition marked the beginning of the celebration, with the couple and their families moving to the Cambridge Mill for family portraits and the reception. The mill, provided the perfect backdrop for stunning portraits and a lively reception. Being a preferred vendor at both venues allowed us to move freely on the grounds, finding all of the best spaces to create images.</p>

<p>are avid campers who canoe, hike, cook over open flames, and generally love the abundance of nature we are fortunate to be surrounded by living in Southwestern Ontario. Their wedding ceremony site was carefully selected among the pine barren area a very short hike from the waters' edge. I started my morning at the nearby air-bnb cottage with Kinsey and her crew before joining with the gents who had already been camping for two weeks. We had increidble weather, lots of bugs, we made some incredible images after dark and the rest is history.</p>

<p>is one of those places that instantly feels inviting. Its open spaces, beautiful grounds, and rustic barn create the perfect backdrop for a wedding. When Julia and Ben asked me to photograph their day here, I knew it was going to be a special one.</p>

<h3>A Quiet First Look</h3>
<p>We started the day with a private first look. Away from the crowd, Julia and Ben saw each other for the first time, sharing a quiet moment before the day kicked into full gear. It was simple and real&mdash;just the two of them, enjoying a pause before the celebration began. This set the tone for the rest of the day, which stayed relaxed and focused on what truly mattered.</p>

<h3>Family Photos, Without the Fuss</h3>
<p>Julia and Ben wanted to keep family photos straightforward, so we quickly gathered everyone for portraits right after the first look. We didn&rsquo;t spend too much time posing&mdash;just enough to capture everyone together without taking away from the rest of the day.</p>

<p>As the sun began to set, we moved to the barn for some final photos. The natural light and rustic setting made it a great spot to wrap up the day. Julia and Ben&rsquo;s calm energy in these moments really came through in the photos, capturing the end of a day that was focused on simplicity and enjoyment.</p>
<p>Julia and Ben&rsquo;s wedding at Roseville Estate was a perfect reflection of them&mdash;low-key, thoughtful, and centered around the people who mean the most to them. It was a pleasure to be a part of their day.</p>

<p>thanks to the innovative mind of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/heyjeffmaeck/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jeff Maeck</a> and his wife Michelle of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/maeckweddings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maeck Weddings</a>. New life has been breathed into Kitchener City halls wedding Chapel. Renovated, reorganized, and re-imagined, The DTK Chapel has been serving the community since mid 2020. I was fortunate enough to book my first DTK couple In March 2022. Below you'll see a behind-the-scenes video where you are on top of my camera for the full ceremony and portrait session. Below THAT are some of my favourite images from this day. I love shooting at the DTK Chapel, looking forward to more couples who are into doing the smaller more intimate ceremonies.</p>
